Indian OEMs recall 278,405 vehicles in 2022, over 5 million units since 2012

The past 12 months saw over 275,000 vehicles being recalled in India. Since July 2012, when SIAM’s Code of Voluntary Recall came into effect, 37,36,426 passenger vehicles and 13,20,248 two-wheelers have been recalled which is an indication of a maturing market.
