With India playing a key role in new product development for global markets, BorgWarner is confident about the long-term benefits of its local accountability and global strength (LAGS) strategy in driving future growth.
American Tier-1 major BorgWarner, which is a key player in the Indian automotive market with its range of component and technology supplies to OEMs across tiers, the company is now betting big on the India potential with the global shift in powertrain systems.
While it is leveraging Indian talent at its India Propulsion Engineering Centre in Bengaluru to undertake cutting-edge R&D in software development, and simulation for global prosucts, t is also eyeing to tap into the growing demand from the domestic market. "We aim to make in India for the global markets," reveals the company's senior executives in a recent interaction with Autocar Professional.
