CARS24 targets 50% increase in women workforce by 2024

CARS24 has announced its initiative to increase the women representation in its workforce by 50% in 2024, in observance of International Women's Day. The company, addressing the gender disparity in the automotive industry, is focusing on enhancing diversity across various roles within the organisation.

Presently, the composition of women and LGBTQ+ individuals in CARS24's workforce is under 20%. To combat this imbalance and promote inclusivity, the company has initiated recruitment and training programs aimed at integrating women into both its corporate and frontline positions. Available roles span across customer experience, operations, marketing, product development, and more.

CARS24's initiative includes the implementation of specific training programs, upskilling opportunities, and mentorship projects aimed at empowering women within the company.

Vikram Chopra, Co-Founder and CEO of CARS24, highlighted the initiative's strategic importance to the company's ethos and its contribution to a more equitable industry landscape. The company's effort to increase female representation not only aims to foster a diverse and dynamic work environment but also sets a precedent for inclusivity and equality within the automotive sector, where women currently represent a small fraction of the dealership and repair/maintenance workforce.
