TVS Motor Company Reports 10% Sales Growth in February 2025

TVS Motor Company posted total sales of 403,976 units in February 2025, marking a 10% increase compared to 368,424 units in the same month last year, the company announced on Saturday.

The two-wheeler segment, which forms the bulk of the company's business, grew by 10% year-on-year with sales reaching 391,889 units. Domestic two-wheeler sales saw a more modest increase of 3%, rising to 276,072 units from 267,502 units in February 2024.

Scooter sales showed particularly strong performance, surging by 24% to 164,415 units, while motorcycle sales increased by 5% to 192,960 units compared to the previous year.

The company's electric vehicle division continued its upward trajectory with a 34% growth, selling 24,017 units in February 2025 compared to 17,959 units in the corresponding month last year.

International business emerged as a significant growth driver, with total exports climbing 26% to reach 124,993 units. Two-wheeler exports set a new record with 115,817 units, representing a 28% increase over February 2024.

The three-wheeler segment also performed well, growing by 14% to 12,087 units from 10,614 units a year earlier.

TVS Motor Company, a century-old business with manufacturing facilities in India and Indonesia, has established itself as a prominent player in the global two and three-wheeler market. The company is the only two-wheeler manufacturer to have received the prestigious Deming Prize for quality management.

Industry analysts attribute TVS's consistent growth to its expanding international presence and strategic focus on the electric vehicle segment, which has gained momentum amid rising fuel prices and growing environmental awareness among consumers.
