Ola Electric Posts 23,430 Vehicle Registrations in March, Continues Registration Process Improvements

Ola Electric reported 23,430 electric vehicle registrations in March 2025, according to data from the VAHAN portal. The company continues to see strong demand across both urban and rural markets while working through the transition to in-house vehicle registration operations that began in February.

In a business update released today, Ola Electric stated that they have nearly cleared the February registration backlog and expect to complete all remaining February-March registrations by the end of April. To accelerate this process, the company is scaling up its registration operations and coordinating with external stakeholders.

March also marked an important milestone for Ola as it began deliveries of its new Gen 3 portfolio. According to the company, customer response has exceeded expectations, prompting increased production of these models in March with further production increases planned for April.

"We remain focused on execution and delivering a seamless ownership experience," the company noted in its statement. "We will continue to update stakeholders as our registration volumes stabilize."

This follows Ola Electric's February performance when the company reported approximately 25,000 sales, according to previous reports. The February figure represented a significant milestone as it positioned Ola Electric as the top electric two-wheeler manufacturer in India for that month.

The transition to in-house registration that began in February caused temporary disruptions, but the company reports that daily registration volumes and backlog clearance are steadily improving. This operational change appears to be part of Ola's broader strategy to vertically integrate and control more aspects of its business operations.
