M&M appoints Meenakshi Priyam as Senior VP and HR Head (Designate) for automotive sector

She will report to Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division and Rohit Thakur, Chief Human Resource officer- Auto & Farm sector.

M&M appoints Meenakshi Priyam as Senior VP and HR Head (Designate) for automotive sector

Meenakshi Priyam has been appointed Senior Vice President and HR Head (Designate) for Mahindra Group's automotive division, effective November 4, 2024. She takes over from Indrajeet Sengupta.

She will report to Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division and Rohit Thakur, Chief Human Resource officer- Auto & Farm sector. 

Besides this, she will be responsible for bringing in right resources for Mahindra Last Mile Mobility LMM and Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited (MEAL), both of which are in a growth phase. The company has committed Rs 12,000 crore in Mahindra Electric Automobile, aiming for a penetration of 20-30% for electric vehicles in its portfolio by 2027.

Meenakshi will also lead HR functions for Mahindra Last Mile Mobility (MLMML), Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited (MEAL) Mahindra Advanced Design Europe, and Automobili Pininfarina, and work closely with the respective CEOs of the above mentioned companies. The respective HR heads will report to her. 

Before this, Meenakshi was the Group CHRO for Udaan- a B 2B e-commerce platform. In a career spanning over 22 years, she has leadership experience across geographies such as India, Europe and Asia Pacific. She has earlier worked at GSK, Novartis, Johnson & Johnson, Axis Bank, Yes Bank and Towers Watson Perrin. 

Meenakshi is a part of the National Committee for HR and Leadership for CII and is the Chair for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for Bombay Chambers of Commerce and Industry. She has a post graduate degree from XLRI.
