Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has donated Rs 3 crore to the PM CARES Fund to aid relief efforts in areas affected by recent floods. The contribution is part of MSIL's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at supporting the government's efforts in disaster relief and recovery.

Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, expressed the company’s commitment to assisting those affected by the floods. “We stand in solidarity with the individuals and families affected by the recent natural calamities. In times of crisis, it is a collective responsibility to stand together and rebuild. Our contribution is a gesture to support the government’s relief and rehabilitation efforts for the affected communities,” Takeuchi stated.

In addition to the financial contribution, MSIL has implemented several measures to assist flood-affected areas. The company introduced a pre-emptive alert system to inform customers of potential calamities and provide guidance on vehicle protection. Between July 2023 and August 2024, the system sent 170 lakh advance alerts based on weather forecasts issued by the Government of India.

MSIL has also coordinated with vehicle towing agencies to offer 24x7 services and worked with insurance partners to expedite claim processing. Extended workshop hours and additional repair personnel have been mobilized in affected regions to ensure timely vehicle restoration. Service Managers have been assigned to support customers and provide direct assistance.
