The new Kia EV6 features design updates, an 84-kWh battery with a 663 km range, an upgraded ADAS 2.0 system, and advanced connectivity features, available in a single GT Line AWD variant.
Kia India has introduced the updated EV6 in the Indian market, priced at Rs 65.9 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). The new model comes with design upgrades, improved safety features, and a larger battery, enhancing its appeal in the premium electric vehicle segment.
The latest EV6 is equipped with an 84-kWh battery pack, offering a certified range of 663 km (ARAI MIDC Full) on a single charge. It is available in a single GT Line variant with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration. The model also features an upgraded Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) 2.0 package, which includes 27 advanced safety features and five new autonomous driving functions.
The updated Kia EV6 introduces 15 design enhancements, featuring a sportier front profile inspired by the brand’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. The model now includes a Star Map Graphic Connected DRL with Sequential Indicators, a GT-Line front bumper, 19-inch aerodynamic glossy-finish alloy wheels, and Star-Map LED rear combination lamps.
Inside, the cabin has been refined to offer a more premium experience. The car features a new double D-cut steering wheel with hands-on detection technology and a connected car navigation cockpit with a dual 12.3-inch panoramic curved display, integrating infotainment and vehicle data.
The new EV6 is equipped with Kia Connect 2.0, which includes remote vehicle diagnostics through Kia Connect Diagnostics (KCD). Over-the-air (OTA) updates enable remote software updates for 34 ECU controllers, reducing the need for service visits. The model also features Digital Key 2.0, which uses Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology to allow keyless entry and ignition via a smartphone. The key can also be shared digitally with others. Additionally, the EV6 offers over 100 connected features.
The upgraded ADAS 2.0 system includes several advanced driver assistance features. Key additions include Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA) 2.0 - Junction Turning, which detects oncoming vehicles while making turns at intersections, and FCA 2.0 - Junction Crossing, which helps prevent collisions when crossing junctions. Other safety features include FCA 2.0 - Lane Change Assist, FCA 2.0 - Evasive Steering Assist, and Lane Follow Assist (LFA) 2.0, which helps maintain lane positioning.
The EV6 is built on Kia’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and is powered by an 84-kWh battery. The electric motor produces 325 PS of power and 605 Nm of torque. The model also supports ultra-fast charging, with the ability to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 18 minutes using a 350 kW fast charger.
The new Kia EV6 will be available in five color options: Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Wolf Grey, Runway Red, and Yacht Blue Matte.
Kia India began operations in 2017 with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh government for a manufacturing facility in Anantapur. The company started mass production in August 2019 and has an annual production capacity of 300,000 units.
Kia India has launched seven models, including the Seltos, Sonet, Carens, Carnival, EV6, and EV9. To date, the company has dispatched nearly 1.6 million vehicles from its Anantapur plant, including over 1.2 million domestic sales and 3.67 lakh exports.
