Honda Records 19% Growth with 58.31 Lakh Units Sold in FY 2024-25

HMSI expands portfolio with electric vehicles and flex-fuel motorcycles, achieving significant sales growth.

Honda Records 19% Growth with 58.31 Lakh Units Sold in FY 2024-25

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) closed the fiscal year 2024-25 with total sales of 58.31 lakh units, marking a 19% year-on-year growth. The company sold 4,27,448 units in March 2025 alone, comprising 4,01,411 units in domestic sales and 26,037 units in exports.

HMSI has expanded its product lineup during FY 2024-25 with its entry in the electric mobility segment with the introduction of ACTIVA e: and QC1, with bookings beginning on January 1, 2025, and deliveries commencing in March 2025.

The company also launched India's first 300cc flex-fuel motorcycle, the CB300F Flex-Fuel, advancing the country's transition to greener mobility solutions. Additionally, HMSI updated its entire lineup with OBD2B compliant models of popular vehicles including Activa, Dio, Shine series, and several others.

In the premium motorcycle segment, Honda's BigWing business strengthened its portfolio with the introduction of the all-new NX200 and the latest editions of CB650R and CBR650R.

The company's 125cc motorcycles 'Shine & SP125' crossed 30 lakh customers in Eastern India and 10 lakh customers in Madhya Pradesh. Honda also surpassed 2 crore sales in South India.

On the corporate social responsibility front, Honda India Foundation continued its flagship program Project Pragati and launched "Project Buniyaad - Aathmanirbharta Ka Aadhar" in collaboration with the Mizoram Youth Commission and Visan Foundation. The foundation also initiated the "Stree सारथी...steering her own path" women empowerment program.

HMSI also organised road safety awareness campaigns in over 120 cities across India, educating more than 97 lakh citizens on the importance of safe driving practices.

In motorsports, the company celebrated achievements including Mohsin Paramban winning the 2024 IDEMITSU Honda Indian Talent Cup NSF250R, and Monster Energy Honda HRC securing a second consecutive Dakar Rally double podium with Tosha Schareina and Adrien Van Beveren taking 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
