Continental India has been recognised at the 59th ACMA Excellence Awards, receiving a Gold award for “Excellence in Digitalisation” and a Certificate of Merit for “Excellence in Manufacturing” and “Excellence in Export.” The awards highlight achievements in manufacturing processes, digitalisation, sustainability, localisation, and exports within the automotive component supply chain.

The event, organised by the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), acknowledges advancements in quality, innovation, and sustainability. Continental’s recognition reflects its ongoing efforts to integrate digitalisation and process improvements into its operations.

The Gurgaon Plant has implemented technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR), 3D Printing, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to enhance efficiency and optimise costs. These innovations support in-house manufacturing of spare parts, reduce downtime, and improve automated reporting and data analysis. Continental’s adoption of Industry 4.0 practices aligns with its broader strategy of localisation and global competitiveness.

Continental India has received several recognitions for its digitalisation initiatives. In 2023, the Gurgaon Plant was awarded a Certification of Appreciation by ACMA for “Excellence in Digitalisation.” The plant has also won the Gold award at the Machinist Awards for Digitalisation and the Quality Circle Award from ACMA, along with acknowledgments from OEMs for its support and localisation efforts.
