BMW Group India named top employer for second consecutive year.

BMW Group India has received the Top Employer 2025 certification from the Top Employers' Institute, marking its second consecutive year of recognition. The certification followed an extensive survey covering six domains and 20 topics including people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, diversity, and inclusion.

Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India, said the recognition reinforces the company's position as a desirable employer, highlighting its focus on providing future-proof jobs and career development opportunities in a transforming automotive industry.

The company employs over 650 people directly and has created more than 3,000 additional jobs through its dealer and service network. BMW Group India has set a target to increase women's representation in its workforce and management positions to between 20% and 22% by 2025-26.

The certification acknowledged BMW's employee development programs, which include mentoring networks, internal and external training initiatives, and self-paced learning opportunities. The company maintains a comprehensive health management system and occupational safety standards across its facilities.

BMW India, which began operations in 2007, operates a manufacturing plant in Chennai producing 10 car models, a parts warehouse in Pune, and a training centre in Gurugram. The company expanded its presence with MINI's launch in 2012 and Motorrad's integration in 2017.

BMW Group's Indian operations include BMW India Financial Services, established in 2010, which provides retail finance, commercial finance, and insurance solutions. The company's subsidiaries, BMW India and BMW India Financial Services, are headquartered in Gurugram, focusing on the premium segment of the Indian automobile market.

The company's approach to employee management emphasizes diversity, collaboration, and equal opportunity, supporting its position in India's premium automotive sector where it operates through BMW, MINI, and Motorrad brands.
