The Norma Group, a global market and technology leader in the area of engineered joining technology, has received a major order for quick connectors for use in cooling water systems from a German supplier to the automotive industry.
The order includes manufacturing of more than five million Normaquick PS3 quick connectors per annum. These quick connectors in the nominal sizes 16 and 32 will be manufactured at the Norma Group’s site in Maintal, Germany, starting February 2015.
“This major order is proof of the high demand for our high-quality product solutions,” says Werner Deggim, CEO of the Norma Group. “In order to be able to meet this demand, we increased the production capacities and invested in a new fully automatic assembly machine at our site in Maintal. The new machine is capable of producing PS3 quick connectors around the clock, seven days a week.”
The Normaquick PS3 quick connector is made of recyclable materials and is ideal for connecting fluid lines in the area of cooling water and heating lines, but also for use in charge air systems. It is characterised by rapid assembly without tools. An integrated retainer allows for the quick connector to be mounted and disconnected again very easily. The compact design of the quick connector allows it to be used even in instances where installation space is limited. An integrated O-ring keeps the connection tight.
